The startup Ditar settled in EEBIC in 2022. Meet the project leader, who shares her vision and ambitions with us.
EEBIC: Hello Alexandra, can you tell us more about your project, DITAR?
Alexandra: Ditar is an innovative project focused on optics. We design innovative solutions to enrich the eyewear shopping experience. Thanks to our use of augmented reality, customers can visualize various frame styles and lens options before making an informed decision. This approach truly revolutionizes the way people choose their glasses.
EEBIC: What are Ditar’s next objectives?
Alexandra: Our ambition is to become a major player in augmented reality, particularly in the field of optics which is close to our hearts, as vision is of paramount importance in everyone’s life. With 70% of Belgians wearing glasses, we aim to offer significant added value to vision.
EEBIC: As a Brussels startup, have you used several Brussels aids?
Alexandra: The entrepreneurial ecosystem in Brussels offers a diverse range of benefits and grants for entrepreneurs. Thanks to the Brussels region and EEBIC, we have been able to take advantage of these aids to develop our export strategy, especially for our clients outside Belgium. This has allowed us to revamp our website and benefit from vouchers for training, among other advantages. I highly recommend exploring these available opportunities!
EEBIC: Ditar is incubated at EEBIC, what is your feedback on your experience?
Alexandra: Our experience at EEBIC has been extremely positive. The team has provided considerable support throughout our journey, and continues to do so. The Excelerate program, in particular, has been of great value to our growth. It allows us to benefit from personalized coaching with professional coaches, as well as numerous networking opportunities with organizations such as finance&invest, Hub.brussels, or Innoviris, and investment funds for financing. Moreover, EEBIC’s comfortable offices offer a conducive environment for productivity and creativity.
